In this tutorial, I will show you how to make a beautiful icon using a few colours, and text.
First off, get an icon base.
I am using this one:

You can use it too if you like.
It must be 100x100
Then you go up to the top menu bar, and select
Layers >> Duplicate
Then you go to your menu on the right side, and go down to Layers. You click on
"Copy of Raster"
A pop-up should come up.
Now where it says
"Blend Mode", click the down arrow and select
"Screen". You can change the Opacity if you like, but I left it at 100 Then press OK.
Now you make another 100x100 base. And make it one solid colour. Like this:

Copy and paste that onto your icon.
Now go to the sidebar, and go to Layers. You will see it says
Raster 2
Double click on that, and a pop-up will come up.
Now you want to go to
Blend Mode and set it to
Screen. Press ok.
Now make a New Raster Layer by going to
Layers >> New Raster Layer >> OK
Go to your Paint Brush Tool on the left toolbar.
Then go up to your Paint Brush Settings,
1. Brush Size - 82.
2. Hardness - 0
3. Step - 32
4. Density - 100
5. Thickness - 100
Now, I set my paint brush colour to a yellow. But you can do whatever colour you like. And I placed it right above Carrie's head.
Then go to the sidebar, and go to Layers. You will see it says
Raster 3
Double click on that, and a pop-up will come up.
Now you want to go to
Blend Mode and set it to
Screen. Press ok.
And I set the opacity to 84.
After that, I just added some simple text, and that's it. :D
I hope this tutorial helped!
